The use of photographs in marketing is typically underutilized by store owners and it’s a mistake. Photos are a great way to convey customer success and they are an excellent way to engage people and help build community. You don’t have to go to the expense of hiring a professional photographer to use photos in your business (however for certain types of photos that might be necessary) and oftentimes the more “down and dirty” approach of a simple cellphone photo is more effective and realistic. Here are several different types of photos you can use in your marketing efforts:
• Pictures of happy customers
• Pictures showing the reward of using your stuff
• Pictures showing the effect of NOT using your stuff
• Before and after photos
• Enlarged photos detailing your product
• Pictures of you with happy customers
• Pictures of employees with happy customers
• Historical or legacy photos
• Happy customers getting their delivery
• Customers flashing the thumbs up
• Action pictures of you and your staff with your happy customers
• Happy customers holding an I Heart Symbol Your Store’s Name Sign
• Happy employees with happy customers
I love this list of ways to use Kodak moments in our businesses. It can be applied to most businesses, even those outside the furniture industry, including mine. Thank you, Pete!
